Percy Jackson and the Olympians episode 7 preview, release time, and what to expect

It's all about to go down in "We Find Out the Truth, Sort Of," which is the seventh episode of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. After this, there's only one episode left, so you better get caught up if you aren't already.

At the end of "We Take a Zebra to Vegas," Percy, Annabeth, and Grover find out they failed to meet the deadline of their quest when they arrived in Santa Monica. Zeus and Poseidon are preparing for war. Percy will continue the quest, though. He's headed to the Underworld to confront Hades, retrieve the Master Bolt, and save his mom, Sally.

That's where things will likely begin in the seventh episode of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Percy has been gifted four pearls from his father to make it back from the Underworld should they succeed.

In the preview for "We Find Out the Truth, Sort Of," Percy arrives at Crusty's Waterbed Palace, which readers of The Lightning Thief will recognize. We also see a bunch of short clips of Cerberus, the protector of the Underworld, chomping at the young demigods, the rocky and sandy desert that Percy keeps seeing in his dreams, and the heroes running through what appears to be the forest. We also see a clip of Annabeth hanging on the side of a cliff!

Throughout the teaser, Percy reveals the plan, "After we get the bolt, you guys are leaving with my mom."

"What about you? What about you?" Grovers asks. "Hold fast, mom," Percy says.

We also see a figure from the Underworld, a beach, and Ares walking toward the demigods with a sword. Percy draws Riptide. It's on!

What's missing from the preview, though, is almost more interesting. There's no sign of Hades, the Master Bolt, or Sally Jackson. We don't know what's going to happen now, especially after things changed a bit from the book in the sixth episode. I can't wait to find out!

Episode 7 release time

Percy Jackson and the Olympians episode 7 is going to be released at 6 p.m. PT and 9 p.m. ET only on Disney+. Remember, new episodes were going to drop at midnight ET on Wednesday, but Disney changed the Percy Jackson release schedule one day before the season was scheduled to premiere.

"We Find Out the Truth, Sort Of" should be the biggest episode of the season so far, so you definitely don't want to miss it or get it spoiled on social media!

What to expect in Episode 7

This is the episode the whole season has been building toward. Percy, Annabeth, and Grover are officially headed into the Underworld. They need to find the Master Bolt to stop the war, but they also need to save Percy's mom.

In the book, this is one of the best parts of The Lightning Thief. Percy, Annabeth, and Grover will be meeting with Hades, but things are not quite as they seem. Percy and the gang learn some big truths that shake up everything they know about the world so far.

There are huge plot twists on the way in this episode. It has major implications for the finale and the larger story of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. It's all about to get wild!

When is the season finale?

There are only eight episodes in the first season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. This is episode 7, so there's one episode left. The season finale is scheduled to be released on Disney+ on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, at 6 p.m. PT and 9 p.m. ET. The final episode is titled, "The Prophecy Comes True."

So far, Percy Jackson and the Olympians has not been renewed for season 2 yet. After seeing how good this series is and how many fans are tuning in, Disney will likely announce season 2 soon!
