Every boss fight in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 ranked from worst to best

To say Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is amazing would be an understatement. Insomniac's latest project crawled to unparalleled new heights leaving its mark as one of the best superhero games ever. It received seven nominations in The Game Awards including Best Game of the Year, the ultimate category every developer aspires to reach.

Yes, it was that good. But how did it manage to gain such great acclaim?

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 improved in every aspect that its predecessors failed to succeed in. Side activities were more impactful this time around, loading times ceased to exist, and set pieces had a greater scope. However, even these impactful (and awesome) upgrades fell short of the reworked boss fights. Marvel's Spider-Man for PS4 and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales lacked any memorable, challenging, or engaging bosses (aside from a few exceptions). Thankfully,  Insomniac took notice of that and decided to rectify its mistakes.

Bosses are now actually challenging for players to beat. Instead of just button mashing (or web spamming like in previous Spider-Man games), you'll have to make use of Spidey's abilities at the best time possible, be on the lookout for any attacks to parry, decide if healing is more important than performing a takedown, and (inevitably) die multiple times and repeat the fight until you come out victorious. Few things compare to finally beating a boss you were having trouble with, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 certainly gives you that feeling in multiple instances.
