3 reasons we need The Amazing Spider-Man 3 (and 2 reasons we don't)
1. We don't need another Spider-Man saga at the moment
For as much as we would like to see more of Garfield as Spider-Man, we also have another brilliant actor currently portraying the role. If anything, Marvel's and Sony's priority should be to make Holland's franchise the best it could be instead of focusing on other projects, especially with the rumors indicating they have different visions for it.
If not having The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is the price to pay to have a great Spider-Man 4 film, then we're sorry, Andrew, but we'd be willing to pay it even if it is with tears in our eyes.
2. Andrew Garfield will likely return anyway
The MCU's multiversal saga is already under its way. If Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse of Madness are any indication, is that different versions of our favorite heroes will most likely make an appearance in Avengers: Secret Wars. Whether we get an Amazing Spider-Man 3 movie or not, chances are Garfield will still wear the mask in the MCU's upcoming multiversal crossover. Granted, he might not have a big role or even a proper farewell in it (as we discussed before). But getting to watch him once again in such a big project is better than nothing.
Only time will tell what plans are in store for Garfield's Peter Parker. It would be amazing to see him with a trilogy of movies of his own, but if that doesn't turn out to be the case, we'll be more than happy with him making other appearances in more superhero crossovers.
