It's every Marvel fan's favorite time of year. Yes, we are of course talking about San Diego Comic-Con; the beautiful event that brings so many beloved Marvel Cinematic Universe fans together to tease them with an array of announcements about the future of their favorite franchises.

Marvel Studios is fresh off its biggest victory in years, as Deadpool and Wolverine just opened to an incredible $211 million in its first few days of release (and those aren't even the final numbers). President Kevin Feige celebrated the movie during a special Comic-Con panel on Thursday that gave those in attendance the chance to enjoy a special screening of the movie. And that made them even more excited for what's to come in the iconic Saturday evening Hall H panel.

So just what does Marvel have in store? Well follow along with us

  • Giancarlo Esposito reveals that he is playing Sidewater, the King of the Serpent Society, in the movie - a character that few had predicted.
  • The footage features Harrison Ford's President Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross transforming into the Red Hulk right before Captain America's eyes.
  • Ross also asks Sam Wilson's Cap to assemble the Avengers for him; Sam is reluctant.
  • Adamantium is set to be introduced to the MCU. It will be revealed that the Celestials are made out of it.

Thunderbolts* unveils first footage, teases Avengers Tower

The second movie showcased at the Hall H panel was none other than Thunderbolts*. Cast members Sebastian Stan and Florence Pugh discussed Bucky Barnes and Yelena Belova's uniqaue dynamic, with Stan adding that Pugh steals the show with her performance.

David Harbour arrives onstage in complete Red Guardian suit, calling out his fellow Thunderbolts* stars for not showing up in their costumes. It's a real moment that gets a great reaction from the audience.

The first footage from Thunderbolts* is showcased on the screen and it's unfortunately exclusive for audiences in attendance, but it features Julia Lous-Dreyfuss' character Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine in Avengers Tower.

Fantastic Four gets a new title

The Fantastic Four cast assembled onstage for the first time ever in Hall H, joining Kevin Feige so that they could make some major announcements about the upcoming movie. While audiences were thrilled to see Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, the biggest reveal here was that the movie has officially gotten a new title. It will now be called The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

The first look at Ralph Ineson as Galactus was revealed via exclusive footage shown only to the audience in attendance.

The casts of Thunderbolts* and Fantastic Four will both return in Avengers 5 and Avengers: Secret Wars.

Avengers: Doomsday features a jaw-dropping new villain

Joe and Anthony Russo will direct the next two Avengers movies: Kevin Feige confirmed that the Russo Brothers will be back to direct Avengers 5 and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, backing up the reports from just a few weeks back (after initially denying them last week).
