Finally, Shang-Chi 2 has a filming date (and it's not soon enough)

The highly anticipated sequel to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is finally moving along.

According to a post by the insider account Marvel Updates, Shang-Chi 2 is set to start filming in March 2025 and will keep the cameras rolling through July. That's right, we have more martial arts magic and mystical adventures coming our way with this sequel.

Now, let's talk about what’s new and shiny - Shang-Chi's wardrobe is getting an upgrade with not one, but two new suits. I’m already daydreaming about how sleek and powerful they’re going to look. And there’s more - the legendary Ten Rings that we were all mesmerized by in the first film will also be back and apparently, they're bringing some fresh tricks that’ll give Shang-Chi new abilities. I mean, how cool is that? It's like every comic book lover's dream come true.

Alongside our hero and his best friend, Katy Chen, we're going to see some fascinating characters join the fray.

Shang-Chi is apparently not going solo this time - he'll be bringing a whole squad. The film is set to introduce the Agents of Atlas, and it’s like the Marvel Cinematic Universe just threw a party and invited all the cool kids. This dynamic team isn't just any group - they're a powerhouse of diverse heroes from all corners of the Marvel Universe. With Iron Fist bringing his mystical martial arts, Aero and Wave commanding the elements of air and water, and the fierce White Fox alongside the sharp Sword Master, this team will be ready to rock the world.

The idea of all these characters teaming up in Shang-Chi 2 promises action, compelling characters, and chaos - Marvel style. The dynamics, the action scenes, the sheer epicness that’s bound to unfold when all these heroes come together... it's going to be mind-blowing. At least, we hope. The MCU's Phase Five has been a little bit disappointing so far, I would hate to see another movie full of potential have a very shallow plot with even shallower characters (looking at you, Quantumania).
