2024 will see the return of many popular shows across different genres and platforms, but unfortunately, it will also mark the end for some of them.

Superman & Lois

As mentioned, Superman & Lois is a dear favorite to Bam Smack Pow, and I know so many people across the globe will be heartbroken when they have to say goodbye to the show in 2024. The series premiered on The CW in Feb. 2021, developed by Greg Berlanti (Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Todd Helbing (The Flash, Black Sails), and has gained a sizable and dedicated fanbase over the years. 

The DC show follows the lives of Clark Kent/Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) in Smallville as they navigate the challenges of parenthood amid the pressures of being a famous superhero and journalist, respectively. Blending relatable family drama with fun superhero action, Superman & Lois explores the entertaining dynamics of the Kent family as they try to balance the complexities of everyday life while facing villainous forces and saving the world.

While Superman & Lois includes really awesome action sequences and jaw-dropping moments, I think the fact that it remains so heartfelt and genuine is the best part. The series has received positive reviews from critics and audiences throughout the three seasons, making it such a shame the fourth will be the last. (Though it’s sadly not entirely surprising considering The CW has canceled so many great shows in recent years.)

Superman & Lois returns for its fourth and final season at some point in 2024, though we don’t know the release window yet. We might be waiting a while for the show to return considering filming is reportedly scheduled to start in Jan. 2024 and end in April 2024 — though that’s not necessarily a bad thing because fans aren’t ready for the series to end!
