Stranger Things season 5 cast photo confirmed Spoiler isn't returning and you didn't even notice

When Netflix released the first official Stranger Things season 5 cast photo, fans were elated to see the cast back together for the first time in months to commence the beginning of production on the final season of the show. The cast photo brings together all of our favorite cast members... or at least most of them!

Noah Schnapp, Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Cara Buono, Joe Keery, Amybeth McNulty, Charlie Heaton, Brett Gelman, Maya Hawke, Natalia Dyer, Jamie Campbell Bower, Priah Ferguson, Linda Hamilton, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Ross Duffer, Matt Duffer, Finn Wolfhard, and Sadie Sink all come together for the photo confirming their presence in the upcoming final season. However, there are a few notable season 4 cast members that fans were quick to notice were missing.

Joseph Quinn MIA from Stranger Things season 5 cast photo

The first absence fans were quick to notice was Joseph Quinn, who played Eddie Munson in season 4 and was a breakout performer in the fourth season. Comments quickly came flooding through on social media from fans who were disappointed to see Quinn was not present for the cast photo.

Even The Tonight Show weighed in as they joked about zooming in search of Eddie.

Heartbreaking as it might be, fans honestly shouldn't be too surprised that Quinn wasn't present as Eddie was killed off in season 4 so it wasn't expected he'd be returning for the new season.

Argyle won't be in Stranger Things season 5

Also missing from the photo was Eduardo Franco, who joined the cast in season 4 as Argyle. Many were quick to notice that Argyle was not persent and concern quickly spread among fans.

Sadly, it seems that there was reason to be concerned as Argyle will apparently not be coming back for the show's final season -- at least it doesn't appear that there are any plans for the character to be a part of the show's fifth season.

“It’s nice to hear that there’s some kind of concern or something, but I never got a phone call, so I think that’s it," Franco revealed in an interview with Steve Varley.

Given Argyle was in Hawkins still when the season came to a close, it's a bit shocking to hear the writers did not decide to bring him mack into the fold. Still, at least some people took notice of his absence. The same could not be said for another member of the season 4 cast.

It's looking like Tom Wlaschiha will not be back as Enzo in Stranger Things season 5

It's shocking how little love fans seem to be showing Tom Wlaschiha, who was among the many season 4 actors missing from the new season 5 cast photo. Wlaschiha played Dmitri "Enzo" Antonov in the fourth season appearing in a recurring role as a Russian guard who sacrificed everything to help Hopper and Joyce.

Following the events of season 4, it was unclear what happened to Enzo as we last saw him fleeing with Hopper, Joyce, and company. Some hoped that perhaps he would have snuck back to the US with the group and might be laying low with Murray. That seemed like a likely possibility; however, Wlaschiha's absence seems to suggest we might have seen the last of Enzo which is disappointing and we can't believe more fans didn't pick up on him being MIA.

Enzo was such a great new character and proved to be quite an amazing ally to the team. With the looming battle with Vecna, the Hawkins group could use all the help they can get and Enzo has proven to be quite resourceful.
