When it comes to anticipated shows, there is no show fans are more excited about than Stranger Things. From the moment Netflix announced season 5 would be the show's final season, the level of excitement only grew further as anticipation has been growing over how exactly the Duffer Brothers will choose to bring the show to a close.

We know we're in store for an epic final battle between the Hawkins residents and Vecna, but outside of that Netflix is keeping fans entirely in the dark by revealing as little information as possible about the final season. Fans are so eager to watch the final episodes and see how the show ends, but it appears that same excitement is not shared by the show's newest cast addition, Lisa Hamilton.

Lisa Hamilton says she won't be watching Stranger Things season 5

While there aren't expected to be too many new faces joining the cast of Stranger Things season 5, there will be at least one major addition in legendary actress Lisa Hamilton. Netflix announced Hamilton would be joining the cast during the 2023 Tudum event and for Hamilton the chance to work on the show is a dream job as she's a huge fan.

Perhaps it's for that reason that it's so shocking to discover that Hamilton will not be watching the final season of the show and has already sworn off the final episodes -- though the quality of the show is not to blame.

Like many actors, Hamilton is one who does not watch the projects she works on which means now that she is part of the Stranger Things cast she will not be watching the final season.

“When you really buy into something, you don’t see yourself in it. So I think in a way, it kind of ruined the show for me. I never watch [a project], once I’m in something,” Hamilton revealed in an interview with Us Weekly. “It would just completely take me out of the reality of it to see myself in there. So I won’t be watching [season 5].”

Honestly, can anyone judge Hamilton for swearing off the show? I know I personally hate watching myself back in videos, so anyone who has also shared this reaction can sympathize with why Hamilton doesn't like watching her own work. That's definitely got to be a tough decision to make as a fan of the show, though I guess working on the series will at least count for something!
