Iconic DC hero confirmed to appear in My Adventures with Superman season 3

This past weekend at SDCC, it was revealed that Superboy, aka Connor Kent, will debut in season 3 of the hit DC comic animated series My Adventures with Superman. The official concept art of the character was revealed during a panel for the series, along with a plethora of new information as fans now wait for the third season. 

In addition, an image depicting the villains of season 3 was also shown to the crowd. Most notably, Alex Luthor is now bald, sporting a comic-accurate look. Signs point to the villain having split from Amanda Waller and going on to start Lex Corp, as the final moments of the S2 finale showed. On top of that, Cyborg Superman(Hank Henshaw) is set to debut as well, sparking thoughts of the series, possibly tackling a “Death of Superman” arc, despite the CW’s Superman and Lois doing the same at the moment. 

The pieces are there to execute a mini version of the iconic storyline, as Steel, Superboy and even Cyborg Superman are present in the series; all we need now is the Eradicator, and then things could transition to a darker narrative.

The panel also revealed details which included Jack Quaid (Clark Kent/Superman), Alice Lee (Lois Lane), Ishmel Sahid (Jimmy Olsen), and Kiana Madeira (Kara Zor-El/ Supergirl), confirming that they've already recorded the first episode and that about half of the season’s scripts have been written. 

Quaid also disclosed that he would be voicing more than one character for the third season, which could make sense, with Bizzaro or Superboy possibly being the obvious choice. However, no further details were mentioned.

My Adventures with Superman voice cast is led by Jack Quaid as Clark Kent / Kal-El / Superman, Alice Lee as Lois Lane, Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen, and Kiana Madeira as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl. Rounding out the ensemble appearing in supporting roles are Darrell Brown as Perry White, Andromeda Dunker as Vicki Vale, Michael Emerson as Brainiac, Joel de la Fuente as General Sam Lane, Max Mittelman as Alex "Lex" Luthor, Kari Wahlgren as Martha Kent and Debra Wilson as Amanda Waller.

No release date for season 3 has been revealed, but in the meantime,  both seasons of My Adventures with Superman are officially streaming now on MAX.
