1. Supergirl (TV series' first suit)

Worn by: Melissa Benoist

The perfect suit doesn't exi-- actually, it does.

When Supergirl premiered on CBS in 2015, it introduced audiences to a Girl of Steel that would have been every bit at home on the big screen. That compliment extends to the suit that Melissa Benoist wore too, as it was without a doubt the best Supergirl suit of them all.

This one's strengths lie in the fact that it stayed true to the character's iconic comic book suit while also adding the necessary modifications for the screen. So yes, we have the legendary blue upper half accompanied by the red skirt and boots, but it was made out of a much more durable fabric, which actually resembled the big-budget suit worn by Henry Cavill's Superman in the DCEU movies.

The only real change was the House of El symbol, which opted against flooding the backdrop with yellow like Superman's suit. Instead, the symbol itself had a fine yellow outline that really made it pop against the dark blue of the suit.

Melissa Benoist looked the part from the very first moment she donned it, and no other Supergirl suits have come close to touching the high standard of this one. It was loyal to the comic books but also perfect for a modern, live-action take on the character. The perfect Supergirl suit for the perfect Supergirl.
