Best and worst Marvel Phase 3 movies

Best: Avengers: Endgame

Avengers: Endgame was a true cinematic masterpiece and remains the pinnacle of the MCU.

Endgame was the ultimate payoff to the years of hard work and carefully crafted storytelling and Marvel Studios did not disappoint in bringing a conclusion to the Infinity Saga. The film delivered some of the most incredible performances and team-ups the MCU has ever seen, as well as some of the most iconic moments in the history of the franchise.

From the Avengers' travels through time to gather the Infinity Stones to the epic final battle between the full Avengers ensemble against Thanos and his goons, Endgame was the crowning achievement for the franchise and a reward to those who had been along for the ride from Day 1.

Worst: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

When it comes to the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, James Gunn managed to bookend the Guardians franchise with two incredible movies; however, the second film definitely proved the sophomore slump is a very real hurdle for franchises.

While Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 featured some fun comedic moments, Ego was an underwhelming villain and the film suffered from a lack of plot. The story was severely lacking and failed to live up to the hype of its predecessor. Fortunately, the franchise rebounded with its third and final entry.
