The Boys season 4 gets exciting update as Amazon confirms release date!

This summer just got a whole lot more exciting! After months of anticipation, Amazon has confirmed the upcoming fourth season of The Boys will arrive this June just in time to become one of the most talked about series of the summer!

As expected, the fourth season of Amazon's Emmy-nominated superhero drama will be coming this summer with season 4 kicking off on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Check out the official announcement below which was dropped on Feb. 22 in celebration of Homelander's birthday:

As in past seasons, Amazon will be releasing the first three episodes on the show's premiere date with new episodes then releasing weekly acoss the season. Interestingly, it looks like Amazon has given the show a new release day with episodes dropping on Thursdays rather than on Fridays. As many fans will recall, season 3 episodes tended to arrive on Thursday night, so it makes sense that Amazon is fully embracing the Thursday schedule with new episodes arriving just in time for the weekend each year.

The Boys season 4 should end on July 18

With The Boys season 4 kicking off on June 13 with a three-episode premiere event, this means we'll get five additional episodes in the weeks that follow. Unless there is an unexpected change to the release schedule, this means the fourth season should come to an end on July 18 with the release of the season 4 finale.

According to the official synopsis for the season, we're in for quite an eventful season ahead with the world on the brink and the stakes about to become higher than ever before:

"In Season Four, the world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late."

Considering there has been no talk of the show ending with season 4, we imagine the season 4 finale will leave fans with a lot to process and end with a series of cliffhangers to keep us talking between seasons!
