Over the course of its decade-long run, The Flash was one of the frontrunners (no pun intended) in the field of superhero programming. In many ways, it was the one responsible for catapulting the huge shift towards superhero TV in the mid-2010s, doing what its predecessor Arrow did on a much larger scale.

During the height of its popularity, the Arrowverse show was a TV juggernaut, with fans falling in love with the characters, their relationships, and of course, the heroics that went on in the streets of Central City.

Speaking of love, that was also a large part of The Flash as many of our favorite costume crimefighters found themselves falling in love. Heck, even some of the villains felt butterflies for someone every now and again. The power of love, folks.

But not everyone had a powerful love story in the way that Barry Allen and Iris West-Allen did. Whether it was underdeveloped romances, or overexposed ones that audiences just couldn't get behind, there were some couples on our screens in The Flash that left us feeling things that certainly weren't love.
