2. Killer Frost and Chillblaine

The Flash unfortunately dropped the ball with a lot during the back half of its run, but perhaps no character suffered from that as consistently as Killer Frost. A character who the show hadn't used right since about halfway through season 4, the baffling decision was made to put her in a relationship with Chillblaine - a one-note villain-of-the-week who betrayed her trust pretty early on.

The show went out of its way to make viewers care about the relationship but they just didn't. We'd hear about how they did all these exciting things off-screen, with their holidays being used as a poor explanation as to why Frost was written off for TV for weeks at a time. And again, fans just didn't care, because the show had failed to give Frost anything of substance for years - and this was not it.

The pair has chemistry but the relationship offered up nothing beyond surface level (and a lot of bad humor). The irony is that Chillblaine had more to do after Frost was bafflingly killed off, which left us all wondering why they just didn't do anything interesting with the characters when they were together.

Frost shouldn't have been killed off, Chillblaine long outstayed his welcome, and by the end of it all, fans were just wondering what the point of this whole relationship was.
