3. Allegra Garcia

When Allegra Garcia first joined The Flash in its sixth season, there was a lot of intrigue surrounding the character. She wasn't interested in being a superhero, she had an engaging backstory, and she had quite the bond with Harrison "Nash" Wells. Flash forward three seasons and she's trapped in a will they/won't they/do we even care romance with Chester (because we have to group the supporting characters together, right?), she has all these super powers that have never been explored, and she's lost the edge that made her such an interesting character in the first place.

While some of the characters on this list really annoyed audiences, Allegra just got lost in the shuffle. She was there for almost all of the big moments, and yet not really able to partake in them outside of the typical "light blast saves the day" or "let's teleport out of here" tropes. Audiences struggled to connect with the character because the show wasn't giving her anything.

Pairing her off with Chester robbed her of anything remotely interesting, as did making her besties with Cecile. The trio shared most of their scenes together and fans just did not care about whatever they got up to, especially in the final season as it just took away valuable screen time from the main characters.

Allegra had all the potential in the world but three years of half-baked storylines and poorly developed superpowers squandered what could have been.
