The good and the bad in every Marvel show on Disney Plus
By Mark Lynch
Marvel Studios announcing Disney Plus streaming shows was a big deal. These projects did more than subscribers to the platform. The projects bridged the gap between movies and highlighted characters that may not appear in movies. Some of the Marvel Comics heroes and villains aren’t popular enough to make it on the Avengers roster, their films, or be their antagonists. However, if they became popular on Disney Plus, that could change.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has produced 11 original Disney Plus shows. If you add the six Netflix and ABC shows, that's 20. Each of them came with their own individual style, story, and take on the characters. There was good in each of them, but there was bad as well. Here are each of the Marvel Studios Disney Plus shows along with the negative and positive they came with.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The good: The writing
Having the right actors for the job is only part of the battle. The writers have to play to their strengths and create compelling stories. On top of that, they have to keep the audience guessing without getting them too upset. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. accomplished that flawlessly.
The bad: The show's place in the MCU
Sometimes, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Other times it isn’t. Like Echo did for Daredevil, a project could come out and make things clear. This writer may be confused, but a definite explanation would be nice.
