10. Kahhori and Captain Carter: The team-up we never knew we needed

Comic book project: What If...?

Season 2 of What if…? wasn’t nearly as good as the first. Despite that, there was one episode that stood tall. The season finale. Only because of Kahhori and Captain Carter teaming up.

The duo Kahhori and Captain Carter was something I never knew I needed. Watching them go up against Strange Supreme was fantastic. They didn’t know each other but knew how to work together. Then, once Peggy Carter got her Infinity Armor, it became a cosmic slugfest of epic proportions. It displayed all of the creativity possible in an animated feature. Maybe more cartoons are the way to go.

9. Marie survives Homelander

Comic book project: Gen V

Gen V was the best comic book project of the year. It perfectly balanced action, drama, representation, and over-the-top violence and sexual content. Within all of that came an even more shocking moment. Marie took a direct blast from Homelander’s eye-lasers and survived. To put that into context, Soldier Boy’s shield was damaged by those blasts. Meanwhile, Marie somehow lived to tell the tale.

This scene will lead to more questions regarding Marie. How powerful is she? Did she survive his blast or was Homelander not trying to kill her? Is something more nefarious going on (that's more likely)? These questions on top of the scene put this at number 9.
