8. Enter the X-Men

Comic book project: The Marvels

The Marvels wasn’t the box office success Marvel Studios wanted, but people will see what they missed when it debuts on Disney Plus. Among the things they missed was seeing Hank McCoy debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It may seem a bit low, but we know mutants exist in MCU's multiverse. Charles Xavier’s appearance in Doctor Strange 2 and Kamala Khan being one confirmed that. Nevertheless, seeing Hank McCoy in the white lab coat in his blue fur was nice. It will continue getting people pumped for the X-Men. Maybe this means they're closer to a big debut than we realize.

7. Spider-Man of the future

Comic book project: Spider-Man 2 (PlayStation)

Insomniac Games had the difficult job of following their perfect Spider-Man game. They succeeded in a lot of ways. At the top of that list was the story. A friend of mine put it best when he said it was the best Spider-Man story in years. And while people knew it was coming, Miles Morales becoming the Spider-Man of the future was still an emotional moment.

Miles becoming the hero of the future is a big thing. However, that isn’t the major news. For the first time, Peter is stepping back. He’s making his personal life a priority. That’s where Miles comes in. Peter trusts Miles so deeply that he’s comfortable giving him the keys to the castle. That’s a heck of an honor.
