6. Miles G. Morales
Comic book project: Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
The reveal of Miles Morales having an evil counterpart wasn’t too shocking. The multiverse is full of different Spider-Beings with alternate destinies. Yet, something about seeing an evil Miles Morales as the Prowlers hit differently.
Uncle Aaron appeared defeated as he talked to his nephew’s variant. Then, out of nowhere, we see that Aaron isn’t the Prowler. All because the wrong Miles was bitten. Or, and let this sink in. What if the spider that bit Miles knew what it was doing? Maybe it left its intended universe to prevent Miles G. Morales from becoming more dangerous.
5. No sleep till’ Brooklyn
Comic book project: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3
Every action comic book movie worth its weight should have a good fight scene. In an era where there are a plethora of them, it takes more than punches, kicks, and laser beams to stand out. The “No Sleep Till’ Brooklyn” scene does that in two major ways.
First, the fight scene was well-shot and choreographed. The fluidity of the attacks while the camera was flawless. Plus, everyone got a chance to shine. Second, and maybe the most important, this could be the last time we see this Guardians of the Galaxy team fight together. If that's the case, it was perfectly done.
