1. "Shibuya Incident - Gate, Open" - Episode 9

Now, this episode is a whirlwind of emotions and action, making it a standout episode in the series, not just the season. It kicks off with a light-hearted moment, asking characters about their thoughts on my amazing and talented and beautifully handsome anime husband Satoru Gojo, who ranges from being a teacher to a complete idiot. Pretty accurate, if I dare say so.

This playful start quickly shifts to a more serious tone, focusing on Gojo in very unexpected ways. The previous episode set the stage for an intense showdown, with villains like Geto, Jogo, and Hanami preparing to attempt to take down Gojo. The stakes are immediately raised as the Shibuya Station becomes a battleground, with innocent people trapped, turned into minor curses, and murdered in cold blood. This escalation of events is horrifying, setting a dark and compelling vibe for the episode.

The episode's brilliance lies in its masterful blend of action and emotional depth. Gojo's combat skills are again on full display as he effortlessly battles Jogo and Hanami, primarily using martial arts and minimal cursed energy. What a showoff. This culminates in a spectacular scene where Gojo crushes Hanami and manages to slaughter one thousand curses while freezing all the non-sorcerers for only 299 seconds. However, the thrill of victory is short-lived as the real plan to contain Gojo unfolds.

Intense flashbacks reveal Geto's strategy, heightening the tension and leading to a pivotal moment where my beloved Gojo is unexpectedly sealed by Geto. Meanwhile, the narrative shifts to Yuji, who witnesses the horrifying transformation of innocent people into monsters at Shibuya Station. This adds a layer of urgency and dread, as a train full of these monsters is headed straight for where Gojo was. The episode's conclusion leaves viewers on edge, with Gojo's fate hanging in the balance and the promise of more intriguing developments, potentially involving characters from the highly acclaimed Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie - Yuta and his curse, RIka. The episode's exceptional pacing, action sequences, and emotional weight make it a top contender among the best episodes of the season.

And that's all I have. As we sit here and wait for the third arc to be released, all we can do is wonder what nightmares we will witness when the "The Culling Game" arc unfolds.
