Kite Man: Hell Yeah!

Kite Man: Hell Yeah! is the spinoff series of Harley Quinn focusing on the character of - you guessed it! - Kite Man. The show premiered for its first season on Max in July and ran throughout the summer, just recently completing its 10-episode run. But there is some uncertainty as to whether it could return for a second season.

The show certainly allows for it as there are teases that there are more stories to be told, but there are some factors that have fans a little concerned. For starters, even with the popularity of Kite Man, the series has not generated the same levels of buzz that Harley Quinn does. That might just have something to do with the fact that it's hard to get invested in the remaining DC properties when you know that the existence of the new universe might do away with them (that certainly impacted the performance of recent DC movies The Flash and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom), but it does raise some questions about the show's future.

There is also the whole DC Universe situation to consider here too. Kite Man: Hell Yeah! was commissioned by the previous Warner Bros. leadership. Granted, it was allowed to continue production and eventually air, but if it doesn't prove to be the success that they were hoping for it to be, it would be sadly very easy for them to cancel it. Unfortunately, they are all too familiar with that when it comes to both DC shows and Max offerings.

A number of Max shows have gotten cancelled in recent months (from The Girls on the Bus to Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin). Could Kite Man: Hell Yeah! be next? Here's hoping the answer is: Hell No!
