Have you recovered yet? I know I haven't.

House of the Dragon season 2 has been a slow-burn thus far, slowly raising the stakes and the tension as the battle for the Iron Thrones slowly got underway. On one side, you had Viserys Targaryen's rightful heir, his daughter Rhaenyra Targaryen, and on the other you had his son Aegon, who had usurped his sister's throne due to the corrupt council allowing it to happen. And after a slow beginning to the conflict that still had losses on both sides, the war finally got going in the fourth episode of the season.

There is no other way to describe House of the Dragon season 2's fourth episode than "jaw-dropping". It truly was, once again slowly raising the stakes until it all culminated in one of the most stunning moments in the history of the Game of Thrones cinematic universe. And it's pretty safe to say that fans have not yet recovered from it.

If you need more answers, you'll be happy to know that HBO and Max have released the brand new trailer for episode 5.

The House of the Dragon season 2 episode 5 promo trailer begins the fallout

The trailer for House of the Dragon season 2 episode 5 teases the fallout that is to come from the absolute stunner of a fourth episode. Needless to say, tensions are running higher than ever as the people in King's Landing, and the people in Dragonstone reel upon hearing what has happened.

It's going to be a rough time for Aegon and all involved in what was undoubtedly the biggest blow to both sides in the Targaryen war yet, and as it continues to rage on, who is going to land the next blow? What will become of the Iron Throne, and who is next in line to become the ruler of Westeros?

The trailer implies that Aegon might have survived Aemond's fiery betrayal, but will he be able to return to action at some point, or will his brother maintain the upper hand? Meanwhile, how will Alicent and Rhaenyra both react to the loss of Rhaenys, who had become a major force for good throughout her time as princess.

As you can tell from the above, House of the Dragon season 2's fourth episode has left us with a lot of questions. But I think the more appropriate question is: What just happened, and where do they go from here?
