Marvel Comics seems to be onto a revamping streak as of late in regards to revitalizing an imprint from the Ultimate Marvel line that is best described as somewhat familiar but different as AIPT a new Ultimates team book written by Deniz Camp and art by Juan Frigeri.

As part of Free Comic Book Day, titled Ultimate Universe/Spider-Man No.1 it is part of a two-in-one combo between Earth-616’s mainstream title of Spider-Man and the return of Norman Osborn as the Green Goblin in the current volume of Amazing Spider-Man with Earth-6160’s new team of Ultimates (the alternate version of the Avengers) with Captain America, a younger Tony Stark’s Iron Lad, and Doctor Doom on the front cover.

The Spider-Man side-story aligns with ASM’s No.50 written by Zeb Wells and art by Ryan Stegman. Solicits for FCBD are as follows: “Now, a new team of ULTIMATE heroes emerge to help put this twisted universe on track towards a hopeful future in a story by Deniz Camp and Juan Frigeri.”

As per the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter), writer Deniz Camp confirmed that he will be writing an ongoing Ultimates comics series. Presumably, this will also include artist Juan Frigeri. The super team comprised of the aforesaid heroes (including a derivative of Doom), Thor, and Lady Sif who appeared in the one-shot, Ultimate Universe No.1.

With Ultimate Spider-Man released, Ultimate Black Panther, and Ultimate X-Men imminent, an untitled Ultimates title would likely drop after May whatever that comic may be.
