7. Mariko Yashida

Mariko is at the top of Wolverine’s biggest tragedies. They planned to get married until she told him he was unworthy of her love. At the time, she was mind-controlled. That didn't make it hurt any less.

Later on, she was poisoned by Matsu'o Tsurayaba. Instead of dying a slow, agonizing death, she asked Wolverine to kill her. Logan begrudgingly agreed. After that, Wolverine made a vow to remove a body part from Tsurayaba on the anniversary of Mariko's death. He made good on that vow.

To this day, this is at the top of Logan’s regrets. He knows it was the right decision, but it still haunts him. How will he react when he finds out she’s alive and that his variant (Old Man Logan) knew about it?

6. Itsu

Wolverine found love by accident. While in Jasmine Falls seeking redemption, he fell in love with a woman named Itsu. Four years later, they were married and she was pregnant. Soon after that, Romulus had the Winter Soldier kill her.

Logan left seeking Muramasa to make him a weapon for revenge (this is how the Muramasa Blade was created). What Logan didn’t know was his son survived and was taken by Romulus.
