7. Elektra

If there was ever an award for the most pointless Marvel movie, it would probably have to go to Elektra. Crafted as a spinoff sequel to 2003's Daredevil, it saw Jennifer Garner reprise her role as the badass antihero Elektra, who is resurrected by The Hand to carry out a new mission.

An Elektra offshoot didn't have to be a bad thing, Heck, seeing Jennifer Garner tear it up again on-screen with her badassery should have been a great thing. But Elektra never justified its reason for existing. It never progressed the character's story in any kind of meaningful way, it didn't follow up on the events of Daredevil, and even though it was great to see the character revived, it never really gave a convincing reason for why her death was undone.

The film is a heck of a lot more enjoyable than some of the other ones on this list, but that didn't prevent it from going down in history as one of the biggest misfires to feature a Marvel character. It was poorly received by audiences and critics, and it significantly underperformed at the box office too, ending the character's cinematic journey (for now at least).
