WWE: CM Punk will be at WrestleMania, but not as a wrestler

CM Punk may not have a match at WrestleMania 40, but did you think he wouldn't be involved or miss the opportunity to show up when Seth Rollins battles Drew McIntyre?

The last two weeks leading up to WrestleMania are important in the WWE Universe. Sometimes unfortunate events take place that throw plans into disarray, which can lead to adjustments to the card. A special guest referee or a new competitor is often added to matches to make up for that. In this case, it’s something as simple as future WWE Hall of Famer Phillip Jack Brooks, a.k.a. CM Punk, joining the commentary team.

CM Punk appeared on the March 25, 2024 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw in his hometown of Chicago. During the show, he called out Drew McIntyre and addressed everything Drew said about him. When Seth Rollins intervened, Punk gave him a piece of his mind.

The feud between Seth “Freakin” Rollins and CM Punk isn't over. It may have been lost with the drama with Drew McIntyre, but it’s still there. Rollins told Punk that this is the closest he'll get to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. WWE Fans knew Punk wasn’t going to take that, and he didn't, telling the world that he’ll be at WrestleMania 40 and join Michael Cole and Pat McAfee on commentary during Rollins and McIntyre's match. That's not all; Punk promised to do something neither of them could do: He’s going to make them interesting.

When he says he’ll make Rollins and McIntyre interesting, the easy guess is that CM Punk is talking about his commentary. Of course, he'll be entertaining. The things he's going to say will be hilarious. However, despite being injured, there’s the option that he'll physically get involved in or after the match.

Drew and Rollins made a mistake. They’ve been taking shots at Punk for weeks. Unfortunately for them, CM Punk is petty, stubborn, and doesn’t forget anything.  If the opportunity arises, Punk will attack one of them. Yes, it would be foolish to do it while he’s injured, but this is CM Punk; perhaps he'll be able to land a kick or two. Both competitors better watch their backs.

What do you think? Is CM Punk going to get involved in the match? Should he stay on the commentary team and leave?
