1. The Men's Royal Rumble match

The Men's Royal Rumble match was undoubtedly the most anticipated match of the evening and to say it exceeded expectations would be an understatement. From the moment that it began with Jimmy and Jey Uso, you could just feel the electricity in the air and it truly felt like that momentum was going to continue through the match. Thankfully it did.

There were so many high-profile stories heading into this one: Drew McIntyre's redemption, CM Punk's return, and Cody Rhodes' attempt to complete the story. All of it came to the forefront in the match itself as the emotions ran high, the energy was mostly sustained, and the crowd was invested in all of the action - hook, line, and sinker.

Much like with the Women's Royal Rumble match, it picked up towards the end (after something of a quiet period in the middle), which raises the question of whether McIntyre, Punk, or Rhodes should have entered a little earlier, but the excitement remained throughout, making for a heck of an entertaining Rumble match.

The final few moments of the match showcased the emotional investment from the audience that WWE had to be hoping for. The build was so strong between Punk and Rhodes, and the payoff delivered, officially taking us onto the Road to WrestleMania - perhaps for both men.

While the internet will certainly disagree over whether CM Punk or Cody Rhodes should have walked out the victor, Cody's victory was a perfect ending to a great match.
