It's the moment that all X-Men fans have been waiting for. Yes, X-Men '97 is upon us.

The Marvel Studios animated show is a sequel / revival series of the classic X-Men: The Animated Series, which aired throughout the '90s. That show has gone down in history as one of the greatest superhero cartoons of all time, so when it was announced that Marvel and Disney Plus were producing a revival, fans responded with glee.

The time has come, as X-Men '97 gears up for its heavily-anticipated Disney Plus premiere, and here's when you can expect each of the episodes to arrive.

When new episodes of X-Men '97 are released

X-Men '97 will release new episodes on Disney Plus each Wednesday morning, premiering at 12:00 a.m. PT and 3:00 a.m. ET. The first season will consist of 10 episodes, and while they will be mostly weekly releases, the series kicks off with a two-episode premiere.

If you're ready to watch the show and would like to know when you can anticipate all of its installments, let's dive into each of the episodes' release dates and times.

  • Episodes 1 and 2: Wednesday, March 20 at 3 a.m. EST / 12 a.m. PT
  • Episode 3: Wednesday, March 27 at 3 a.m. EST / 12 a.m. PT
  • Episode 4: Wednesday, April 3 at 3 a.m. EST / 12 a.m. PT
  • Episode 5: Wednesday, April 10 at 3 a.m. EST / 12 a.m. PT
  • Episode 6: Wednesday, April 17 at 3 a.m. EST / 12 a.m. PT
  • Episode 7: Wednesday, April 24 at 3 a.m. EST / 12 a.m. PT
  • Episode 8: Wednesday, May 1 at 3 a.m. EST / 12 a.m. PT
  • Episode 9: Wednesday, May 8 at 3 a.m. EST / 12 a.m. PT
  • Episode 10: Wednesday, May 15 at 3 a.m. EST / 12 a.m. PT

With X-Men '97 releasing new episodes on Wednesdays, it will be the first Marvel Studios series on Disney Plus to return to the typical release slot after the streamer has been changing its release patterns up quite a bit lately, with Loki and Echo both premiering during Primetime.

No doubt it will be a quick ride for X-Men fans as the weeks will go around fast. While 10 episodes might not seem like much (especially when some seasons of the original series had over 20 episodes), the good news is that the show's second season has already been confirmed. Better yet, a third season is in development.

As we eagerly await the X-Men's arrival in the MCU, the return of their animated incarnation is perhaps even more exciting. Marvel's Mightiest Mutants are back, and we're ready to tune into new adventures each week!
