3. Kirsten Alter

Appeared in: X-Men: Evolution

Kirsten Alter's performance as Storm in X-Men: Evolution seriously doesn't get the credit that it deserved for being one of the best portrayals of the character, but that changes here today!

In X-Men: Evolution, Storm is a bit older than many of the other X-Men heroes and is one of the most trusted and respected teachers at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Although she plays a smaller role in the broader scheme of the show which puts a large focus on the younger X-Men heroes, Storm is a pivotal part of the cast offering guidance and leadership to the young heroes showcasing Storm's strengths as an amazing mentor. But don't get me wrong, the show still makes sure audiences know just how strong and powerful Storm is, celebrating the character as one of the most powerful mutants alive.

While the show stays true to Storm's key traits including her calm personality and regal demeanor, it takes a few creative liberties with adapting the character namely in giving her a sister named Vivian and a nephew named Spyke, a fellow mutant who studies at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. It's a welcome addition in allowing audiences to see a unique side of Storm via the relationship she builds with her nephew over the course of the show.
