1. Alison Sealy-Smith

Appeared in: X-Men: The Animated Series

When it comes to the most iconic portrayal of Storm, none have been able to hold a candle to the version of Storm X-Men: The Animated Series gifted audiences with.

X-Men: The Animated Series' version of Storm is the definitive portrayal due to its faithful depiction of her multifaceted character. Storm exudes regal grace, inner strength, and unwavering resolve across the show with the series delving into her complexities, showcasing her leadership skills, struggles with her past, and moral compass.

The storytelling and rich character development of the animated series captures Storm's essence unlike any other adaptation has been able to achieve and remains the most iconic performance we've seen from Storm, as it not only honors her comic book origins but also elevates her to an iconic status in the realm of animation. This is a Storm who wasn't a background player but rather a star player who received storylines that actually allowed the character to shine and showcased her front and center.

It's a bit of a shame we've yet to see a live-action Storm that managed to capture her essence in the same way X-Men: The Animated Series was able to achieve, especially considering this was the first major portrayal of Storm in a TV or movie medium.

Honorable mention to Iona Morris who helped voice Storm across the first episode of the series before Alison Sealy-Smith took over for the character in season 2 and helped shape the character into the iconic hero we know and love.
