Marvel Comics has gifted us with plenty of iconic superheroes over the years, such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the Incredible Hulk. It has also gifted us with the X-Men, and you won't find a more iconic X-Man than Wolverine.

Wolverine, or Logan if we're going with his real name, is known for being one of the most popular - if not the most popular - of the X-Men. He is renowned for the long, razor sharp claws that protrude from his knuckles, his healing factor, and his adamantium skeleton, which makes him a formidable hero and opponent to anyone who crosses his path. It also makes him virtually indestructible.

Like the X-Men, the character's popularity has transcended the genre as he has appeared in various animated TV shows and movies, video games, and of course, the legendary live-action movie series starring Hugh Jackman in the role. He'll also headline his own solo video game in the near-future, and make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut when Jackman reprises the role in Deadpool 3 (as well as the possibility of a younger actor taking over the role in the future).

We've seen a lot of versions of Wolverine on the big and small screen, but just which portrayal of the character has the sharpest claws? Is the legendary X-Men: The Animated Series Logan the one that stood the test of time, is Jackman's live-action portrayal unbeatable, or is there another underrated Wolverine who actually delivered the best performance?

Let's look through the X-Files and deduce which actor was the greatest Wolverine of them all?
