During the previous episode of School Spirits season 3, Nicole learns something major. While infiltrating the mean girls’ group (hence why episode 2 was titled “Mean Ghouls”), she discovers that Dr. Deborah Hunter-Price (the school superintendent and mother to the head mean girl, Livia) isn’t just shutting the school down. She’s planning on having it demolished and replacing it with luxury housing. It’s a classic evil villain move, even if she doesn’t know what will happen to the spirits in the school. And that is a big “if”. Would anyone be shocked if she knew what was going on?

While Nicole tells Maddie what she learned, Simon makes the plunge into the hole that Mr. Martin dove into, which caused the school bus accident. Before Simon could learn anything, the rope he and Xavier were using to pull Simon back in case of an emergency was cut. Just as the episode is about to end, a figure steps out of the darkness, the screen goes black, and Simon says, “Holy s*t.” We don’t know who he saw, but we should find out in episode 4.

What to expect in School Spirits season 3 episode 4

When Simon sees whoever it was at the end of the previous episode, he doesn’t seem scared. In fact, it looks like he knows who the person is. If that’s the case, then whoever’s inside School Spirits’ version of the upside may be someone who is willing to help him. At the very least, it could be another clue to how sometimes spirits can be seen once they leave they’re ejected from that dark place.

It’s been a few episodes since we’ve seen Dr. Deborah Hunter-Price, and that should change in episode 4. Since Nicole noticed that Dr. Hunter-Price has cameras everywhere, she must have known someone was in her office. This will likely lead to her having a moment with her daughter, Livia, that shows how bad a mother she is. If I have to guess, Dr. Hunter-Price will be verbally abusive. And while it will be a heavy scene, it could explain why Livia acts the way she does.

Lastly, during a teaser video on School Spirits’ Instagram, there’s a scene with Maddie unintentionally going in and out of a scar. Having a scar, despite being alive, is something that hasn’t been addressed since episode 1. Even if that part isn’t discussed, at the very least viewers can expect that Xavier showing up for Maddie in her time of need will lead to tension between her and Wally, especially since Wally is already looking for reasons for her to move on.
