The fourth episode of School Spirits began with Simon and Wally getting out of what they were calling a scar within a scar. When they met up with Maddie, they explained that it looks like a church and showed her what they believe is a bible. Sadly, that’s all they know, so the unlikely pair tells everyone they’re going back in.

Claire and Madison both learned something dark about the town. It appears that on October 28, 1912, nine people died in a church, and eight of them were children. At the time, Split River was called Stillwater. As that’s being explained, Mr. Martin (who’s high on mushrooms) says that the river was split to help the town prosper. But there was a flood, and it drowned the church where the tragedy occurred. It turned the church into a grave, and that’s the land the school is built on. Now, the memory is trapped here.

At the end of the episode, Maddie’s father (Dave Nears) is talking to a spirit that’s been at the hospital longer than anyone. Dave says he wants to help Maddie, but doesn’t know how. As the nurse explains that the spirits in the hospital are different from the ones at the school, Simon is grabbed by one of the victims of the flood, called the Forgotten.

What to expect in School Spirits season 3, episode 5

At the end of the previous episode, Maddie saw her dollhouse burning at the school. This is the third time she’s seen a scar in 24 hours. It started as visions, but now they seem to be getting aggressive. Her connection to the dead could be why the scars are appearing everywhere. It could also be how the Forgotten are attempting to break the barrier. We should get a better explanation about all of that soon.

Second, what will the Forgotten do to Simon? The Forgotten don’t appear to be friendly. However, looks can be deceiving. For all we know, their appearance could be a way to throw off viewers. Then again, both things can be true. Just because they’re doing evil or destructive things doesn't mean it's done on purpose. Stay tuned to Bam Smack Pow to find out the truth.
