The past few weeks have been an absolute dream for superhero fans. It all started when Matt Murdock took over the small screen courtesy of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Soon after, shows like Invincible and The Boys also joined the party with weekly releases. Disney Plus also aired The Punisher: One Last Kill special presentation, and video game players had the chance to explore the streets of Gotham City in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. But while this release era is coming to an end, we still have one more adventure to go.
Spider-Noir will introduce audiences worldwide to a very unique version of the web-slinger. Instead of watching the do-gooder Peter Parker take over the spotlight, we'll witness the seasoned and weary Ben Reilly attempt to solve a dark and twisted case. Better yet, it isn't long before he jumps into action.
All eight episodes of Spider-Noir will be dropped on Prime Video on May 27 at 12 a.m. PT. But before that, the series will air on MGM+, and here's when you can expect its long-awaited release.
Spider-Noir release date and time on MGM+
All eight episodes of Spider-Noir will air one after another on MGM+ on May 25. The first episode will be released at 11:30 a.m. PT, 12:30 pm MT, 1:30 pm CT, and 2:30 pm ET, and each one will air consecutively after that from that point onwards.
Yes, that means that fans will be treated to nearly six hours of Spider-Man action on the small screen.
What to expect from Spider-Noir
Before we dive into Spider-Noir's story, it's important to point out that reviews for the show are already here, and they are nothing but stellar. At the time of writing this, the series sits at a 90% approval score on Rotten Tomatoes. Reviews praise Nicolas Cage's unique (and sometimes unhinged) performance as Ben Reilly, while the mature tone and the visual style are also standouts.
As for the narrative itself, Spider-Noir will follow Ben Reilly after he seemingly left his days as "The Spider" behind him. However, a new, mysterious case will pull him right back into the action. Someone burnt down the house of the infamous mob boss, Silvermane, but no one is sure who the perpetrator was. At the same time, Felicia Hardy reports the disappearance of her lover, Flint Marko. These two events are enough to trigger the drop of the first in a series of dominoes that will bring The Spider back into the light.

We should also expect to see a more violent version of the wall-crawler. In the comic book world, Spider-Man Noir isn't afraid to take lives and to use guns to solve his problems. Chances are, we're about to witness a similar scenario on the small screen.
Iconic Spider-Man villains like Sandman, Silvermane, Black Cat, and Tombstone are confirmed to make an appearance in Spider-Noir. Furthermore, newcomers Megawatt and James Addison will also wreak havoc in the streets of New York. And who knows? Maybe Prime Video and MGM+ have other surprises in store as well.
It seems Sony finally figured out that the key to making a successful Spider-Man spin-off is to feature the wall-crawler himself. Better yet, it won't be long before we find out for ourselves whether Ben Reilly will become a hero, or if this case will prove to be too much for him.
Spider-Noir will be released on May 25 on MGM+.
