Your eyes aren’t deceiving you. The image does show La'An Noonien-Singh and Una Chin-Riley as puppets. And it wasn't just them. The crew of the USS Enterprise was turned into puppets in season 4 episode 5 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. The only person who was left normal was Spock, who was forced to deal with being the only person capable of doing anything. This leads to him coming to terms with not being able to do everything.
The only disappointing part of "Level-Five Transporter Accident" was that the puppet adventure didn’t really happen. Everything viewers saw happened in Spock’s dream. However, as I mentioned in my review, maybe the crew turning into puppets and floating in space would have been too far for many to suspend disbelief. Regardless of how I feel, it’s good to see Star Trek fans defending the episode on social media.
Now that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is past the halfway point of season 4, look for things to get more intense for the crew. Here’s how you can watch season 4, episode 6, to see what I mean.

What to expect in the next episode
The trailer for the upcoming episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 shows that the silliness will stop. The USS Enterprise is going through a stripstream wormhole. To make matters worse, there are injured crew members and only one of the ship's sensors is working. That means everyone must step up to keep everyone safe. And while we can assume that most of the crew of the USS Enterprise will survive the experience, not everyone will leave this episode the same way they came in.
Again, we are officially over the halfway point of the fourth season, so you can bet that the upcoming episodes - including the next one - will have incredibly high stakes. And episodes like those ones make for some of the very best Star Trek adventures!
