It's the most wonderful time of the year! That also means that it's time for new episodes of Stranger Things season 5. Netflix's juggernaut series is returning to screens for a festive new batch of episodes, but if we know this show, it's safe to say that the next chapter of Hawkins' story will be anything but festive!

The first installment of the season premiered during Thanksgiving in the US and it very quickly took the world by storm, reminding us all why it's widely considered one of the biggest - and best - TV shows of all time. We have no doubt that the second volume of season 5 will do the same. The only question is: When exactly can you expect the new episodes where you live?

On that note, here's everything that you need to know.

What to expect from Stranger Things 5 Volume 2

Needless to say, the first four episodes of Stranger Things 5 sent the internet into a complete and total meltdown. Will Byers was finally able to stand up to the dark dimension of the Upside Down when he channelled Vecna's own powers like a Sorcerer, using it to destroy three Demogorgons. You can see why this was chosen as the end of act one, as it has set the stage for what will undoubtedly be uncharted territory for the show - something that will undoubtedly make Volume 2 even more must-see.

Can Will use Vecna's own powers against him? You would think that he'd be open to trying that - especially when the hideous creature said those awful things to him in the previous episode. And you can bet that the Hawkins Squad will be thrilled to have another powerful warrior on their team.

Speaking of powerful warriors, Eleven has found Kali, a.k.a. Eight, in the military's Upside Down base. Her long-lost sister from season 2 has somehow been captured by them - for nefarious means, no doubt - but now that she has found her, will they be able to escape? And what kind of threat can El, Kali, and Will pose to Vecna and his plan?

With just four episodes of Stranger Things to go - and three of them releasing on Christmas Day - the stakes have never been higher, and the first volume revealed that our heroes aren't out of the fight yet. There is a war coming to Hawkins and no matter how powerful Vecna is, he's going to have a fight on his hands.
