2. Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls

Marvel is no stranger to fighting games. In fact, there are many different titles to choose from, including arcade classics such as Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes or even the grim Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects. So it's only natural that the next entry in that list is Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, a 4v4 tag team fighting game that aims to take the action and chaos even further.

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls has a unique visual style that re-imagines beloved heroes and villains in ways we've never seen before. Besides, its battle arenas are filled with no shortage of easter eggs and secrets for players to discover. From the reveal trailer alone, we've seen references to the Fantastic Four and Avengers, ads featuring J. Jonah Jameson, and even a shocking Daredevil cameo. Fortunately, we won't have to wait long until we learn what other surprises the game has in store, as it's targeting a 2026 release window.

3. Marvel's Wolverine

It's a bit heartbreaking to talk about Marvel's Wolverine. On the one hand, developer Insomniac Games has proven that it's more than capable of developing a beloved and explosive superhero title that's a contender for game of the year, thanks to its work on the Marvel's Spider-Man franchise. On the other hand, this anticipated adventure was announced almost four years ago, back in 2021, and we haven't seen anything about it since. Not even a promotional image, nor a pre-rendered trailer. It suddenly disappeared from the public eye as if Thanos snapped it out of existence.

Players eagerly await every new PlayStation event to see even the smallest of glimpses at Marvel's Wolverine, but the day has still to come. However, even if many have wondered if the big axe was dropped and the game was cancelled, Insomniac has assured us it's still hard at work on it. With a little bit of luck, we're going to get a full gameplay reveal along with a release date the next time we see it (could the Game Awards finally be the place?). Let's just hope we're not going to need to buy a PlayStation 6 to play Marvel's Wolverine, though at this rate, it wouldn't seem out of the equation.
