2025 offered up plenty of awesome movies and Predator: Badlands was among the best of them all. Released in November, it was directed by Dan Trachtenberg, who has constantly delivered new, thought-provoking and original tales in the legendary Predator franchise. This installment was no different, as it reinvigorated the classic movie series with one of its most enjoyable tales.
What set it apart was how it prioritized the perspective of the Predator himself, as Dek of Yautja was the main character, offering up a very Terminator 2 kind of adventure as a result. The alien hunter ventured off to a forbidden planet known as Genna so he could hunt in the invincible Kalisk. He made some unlikely friends along the way (including an android named Thia, played by Ellie Fanning).
The adventure has resonated with audiences around the world, so many of them are curious as to when the film might make its streaming debut on Hulu and / or Disney Plus.
Predator: Badlands' streaming debut is still some time away
If you're hoping to stream Predator: Badlands at home in the near-future, then you'll unfortunately be waiting some time. Whenever it does make its way to streaming platforms, you'll be able to watch it on Hulu in the US (or via Disney Plus with the bundle) and Disney Plus around the world, but that likely won't be anytime soon.
The film was officially released in digital format on January 6, meaning that you can purchase it to stream on PVOD platforms such as Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play and Sky Store (for UK fans). That is always the first step after a film's cinematic release so we are one step closer to its streaming debut, sure, but there are more steps for it to take first. And if we're being honest, 20th Century Studios and Disney themselves won't risk upending the digital release's momentum by making it available for free to Disney Plus and Hulu subscribers just yet.

The studios will undoubtedly want to ensure that purchases for it remain high, particularly as the film likely didn't turn a huge profit at the box office (Predator: Badlands was indeed the most successful Predator movie yet, but it also had a large budget to contend with). Digital sales would undoubtedly help offset some of that. As will the eventual home media release.
Speaking of which, Predator: Badlands will be released on DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4K UHD on Tuesday, February 17 2026. That means fans of the Predator franchise will be able to add it to their collection in just a few weeks. Given how popular it was, this will also likely result in high home media sales, allowing the studios to make more money from the film. And with that in mind, the streaming release date won't be anywhere close to that either, as releasing it on Hulu (or Disney Plus internationally) would ultimately impinge on sales.
Furthermore, Thunderbolts* set a record for Marvel Studios movies in that it had the longest wait time between its theatrical release and its Disney Plus debut, arriving on the platform 117 days after premiering in theaters. That was long for a recent release, with only 2023's Wish and 2022's Avatar: The Way of Water having longer wait times.

Taking all of that into account, the earliest we can expect to see Predator: Badlands released on Disney Plus would be early March 2026. That would be in and around the 117-day window while also being over a month after its home media release (and well after its PVOD release) to ensure that a streaming debut wouldn't get in the way of sales. This would also reignite the buzz for the movie - ultimately allowing all three release formats to have their own moments in the spotlight.
That being said, don't be surprised if Disney ends up holding it a little longer and releases it on Hulu and Disney Plus around mid-March instead, ensuring that it is on the platform by Easter weekend at the beginning of April for those off from work and / or school to enjoy.
Predator: Badlands is currently available to purchase on PVOD services with a DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K UHD release set for February 17.
