2. The Spider-Man suits in the Homecoming franchise

Movies: Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: No Way Home

I'll be 100% honest for a moment here and admit that some scenes we've already discussed (such as the creation of The Sandman) might look objectively worse than the Spider-Man suits in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That being said, it's baffling how a movie from 2002 did a far better job conveying a real and tangible Spider-Man costume, even when sometimes it was entirely made of CGI. There are no excuses, Marvel. Your protagonistic heroes shouldn't look this bad in movies that premiered from 2017 onwards.

As you can see in the image above, Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man doesn't look anywhere as realistic as it did in the first Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie which came out more than two decades ago. Unfortunately, the same can be said for Andrew Garfield's character, who once held the crown for the most realistic depiction of the wall-crawler. The VFX team behind Spider-Man: No Way Home revealed they had to completely rebuild Tobey and Andrew's suits, and the results weren't for the better.

Besides, we can't forget about the Stark Suit seen in Homecoming. The problem with that costume is that it looks too perfect for it to be something that exists in our world. It flawlessly adheres to Peter's skin, leaving no wrinkles or stitches that are necessary to add to the realism. The result feels like a video game render rather than something you would use for a big-budget Hollywood film. The MCU's crunch times and over-reliance on CGI have backfired more times than we can count, and this is certainly one of those cases.
