1. Norman reduces the competition to dust

Movie: Spider-Man (2002)

When I first watched this scene as a kid, I remember being terrified of the Green Goblin and its arsenal of weapons. However, that feeling isn't necessarily shared nowadays when doing a rewatch of Spider-Man (2002). Instead, the results are rather a bit comical.

You can't help but admire Sam Raimi's attempt to build Norman Osborn as this big, powerful threat who could instantly turn anyone he wants into dust. However, not only is the whole scene a bit Looney-Tuney, but it's clear that the 3D models used for the skeletons weren't the most detailed ever. Why would they? They are on-screen for less than two seconds. That being said, it's more than enough time to realize this is, in all honestly, a very rough VFX moment.

If Sam Raimi had directed the exact same movie, except with today's technology, the results would have been far better, meaning we can't complain too much about this one shot. However, we also need to remember that the first ever Spider-Man movie did a fantastic work of bringing the wall-crawler to life — a task that once seemed impossible. Most of the action and swinging scenes still hold up to this very date and feel very realistic. So it's unfortunate that the same can't be said for the death of Oscorp's Board of Directors.

I'm sorry, Spider-Man (2002), but you'll forever be crowned for having the worst CGI moment in a Spider-Man movie (unless the MCU decides to outdo itself with Spider-Man 4).
