As someone who’s been a fan of Marvel’s Mightiest Mutants since he was a kid, it makes me happy that X-Men ‘97 is in my life. The adult continuation of the 1990s classic X-Men: The Animated Series features a creative team who also seems to have also grown up with the series, too. That’s made the Disney Plus series one of the best Marvel Studios has produced, and season 2 is almost here!

When we last left the X-Men in the season 1 finale, the team was split up and scattered throughout time. Rogue, Charles Xavier, Nightcrawler, Beast, and Magneto were transported to 3000 B.C., and they encountered En Sabah Nur before he became Apocalypse. In the future, Jean Grey and Cyclops meet Mother Askani (Rachel Grey) and a young Nathan Summers (Cable).

As for Morph and Wolverine, their whereabouts are unknown. Thankfully, viewers should know where or when they are during the X-Men ‘97 season 2’s three-episode premiere. And with that, let's dive into the release times and dates and where to watch worldwide.

What to expect in the season 2 premiere of X-Men ‘97

Judging by the title of the first episode of X-Men '97 season 2 - “Days of Past Future” - we're about to see a pretty iconic installment of the series. Yes, it's a reference to the Days of Future Past storyline, but this will be something else altogether - while also potentially featuring a nod or two towards that story.

It's also easy to guess that fans will see exactly what the X-Men are doing in their current timelines. Even if the title didn’t hint at that, it’s the biggest question that most viewers have going into these episodes. So answering it early is a smart move. Updates are also something regularly done in season premieres.

While "A Force to Be Reckoned With" could literally mean anything in a world as vast as that of X-Men '97, the title of the third episode - "Rise of Apocalypse” - is self-explanatory. We’re going to see the prophecy of En Sabah Nur hinted at in the first trailer (that you can see here). Unfortunately,  "Rise of Apocalypse” is the third episode of the three-episode season premiere, and part one of a two-parter. That means we’ll have to wait a couple of weeks for the story to be complete. Luckily, Bam Smack Pow will be with you every step of the way.
