Previously, on Disney Plus' X-Men ‘97, En Sabah Nur exited the cybernetic womb to become Apocalypse. Soon after that, the unthinkable happened. He used his new abilities to kill Magneto with ease, in front of his best friend, Charles Xavier.

This wasn’t just a death scene because X-Men ‘97 does everything with flair. For example, just as he was about to crush Charles Xavier’s head with his foot, Apocalypse stopped and said, “Alas, only a coward feels mighty when stepping on ants,” and walked away. To Xavier’s credit, he didn’t cower or close his eyes.

After that emotional episode, the fans will need a palate cleanser. According to the mid-credit scene, we’re getting just that. Keep scrolling to find out how you can watch episode 5 of the X-Men series, “Weapon X, Lies, and DVDs“.

What to expect in the next episodes of X-Men ‘97

As I previously mentioned, this episode will be a bit of a palate cleanser, and it will involve Weapon X and Wolverine. Yes, a story with the people who tortured Logan is a more lighthearted tale than Apocalypse murdering Magneto. Mostly because the end of the episode could be how Wolverine gets his adamantium bones back. As the episode synopsis reveals:

"Wolverine and Morph team up with a ragtag band of former enemies to take down Weapon X's newest deadly creation in this action-packed mutant showdown."

It will be interesting to see who the aforementioned former enemies are. If I had to guess, viewers are going to see Deadpool, Kane, and Maverick. And if this involves Wolverine, it’s easy to guess that Sabretooth will somehow be involved.

While Wolverine was one of the main characters of X-Men: The Animated Series, he hasn't had as much focus in X-Men '97 up to this point. To say that an episode focused on him and Morph - while also centred on his return to action - that sounds pretty darn incredible. So what are you waiting for - let's go and watch it!
