SDCC 2014: Toucan Trackers Help Organize Hall H Queue

No, they aren’t named for Toucan Sam, and you don’t have to follow your nose to get one. But the Toucan Trackers announced today could come in very handy if you’re planning on seing anything this year in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con.

More from Conventions And Shows

The Toucan Trackers are colored wristbands that are going to be given out to people in line for the panels in Hall H — and since that’s where the big Marvel, Warner Bros. and Batman panels will take place, it’s the venue with arguably the heaviest demand — that will show them approximately how much of a chance they have of getting into the first panel of the day. They don’t guarantee admission, and there’s still a tiny chance people without the Toucan Trackers will get in at some point, but attendees hoping for a decent chance of seeing the inside of Hall H are going to want one.

Wristbands will be given out only to people who actually wait in line, and they’ll be distributed up to 1 am the night before and resume at 5 am at the spot where the last wristbands were handed out. The bands aren’t placeholders, though, and at least one person from every group needs to physically remain in line or else it’ll all be for naught.
