This Time, Marvel Teases A New Summer 2015 Event: Attilan Rising

Not content with teasing us with new versions of old stories, Marvel has now moved onto something different: teasers of brand new stories. Wait, that’s the way teasers usually work, isn’t it? I’m so confused.

Inhumans: Attilan Rising isn’t the name of any previous event. The closest thing I could think of was a crossover storyline from the 90s called “Atlantis Rising,” and I don’t think that had anything to do with the Inhumans at all.

Plus, this one looks like it could really take place in the Marvel Universe circa 2015, given the fact that the female Thor, Superior Iron Man and Marvel NOW! versions of Magneto and Cyclops are among the bodies at their feet. It also doesn’t mean that the Inhumans attacked the heroes, though it appears they might have.

I’m not sure what to think at this point, but if all these teasers become actual comics, the theme of next summer is going to be an all-out assault on our wallets. And that’s a battle I think my wallet is definitely going to lose.

I’ll add this one to the list of all the teasers and see if they make any more sense when viewed together.
