10 bad DC Movies that shouldn't have been allowed to happen

DC Comics has had some great movies but these easily rank as the ten worst films using those famous superheroes!

There have been a lot of rough DC Comics movies but which ones are truly the worst of the worst?

DC started early on the superhero movie trend with 1978’s Superman and later 1989’s Batman. However, despite successes like Wonder Woman and Aquaman, the DCEU faltered compared to the MCU. Somehow, Warner Bros and DC couldn’t make it all work right and it all came to a lame ending. 

There have been some pretty poor to outright bad movies based on DC Comics such as Batman v Superman or The Flash. However, there are several films that stand out for how truly awful they are and leave us thinking they shouldn't have happened. They waste great casts and story potential while also being just flat-out terrible movies.

Here are how the ten worst DC Comics movies rank and marvel (no pun intended) on how badly they botched these characters.

10. Green Lantern

When the movie’s own star spends years mocking this film, it’s bad. Ryan Reynolds is the first person to joke about how terrible this is, including the Deadpool movies. He wasn’t a bad choice for Hal Jordan and with a better script, this could have succeeded. A major problem was Hal not the cocky fighter pilot comic fans love but another Reynolds goofball role. 

The special effects oddly didn’t work for a character meant to create anything he could with the ring. It also lacked a real foe with Parallax coming off a weird cloud being. Mark Strong was perfect as Sinestro and the post-credits scene of him getting a yellow ring was meant to set up the sequel.
