6. “Partyman” – Prince – “Batman”

I always get “Trust” confused with this song, possibly because they were both up-tempo and were used to highlight Jack Nicholson’s awesome turn as the Joker. “Partyman” was the one released as a single, though you really can’t go wrong with “Trust” either. This was Prince at or very near the height of his powers, so it’s all good.

The Clown Prince of Crime helped “Partyman” boogie all the way to #18 on the Hot 100, but there’s a much, much bigger song from the first “Batman” movie still ahead.
