Gameloft Announces The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Mobile Game For April Release
By Nick Tylwalk
If Ben Franklin was alive in the 21st Century, he’d have to expand his list of certainties to three things: death, taxes and video games based on super hero movies.
Recently, Marvel has been going with mobile games instead of big budget console or PC titles, and that trend continues for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (though indeed, there’s a console game coming too). Gameloft will once again be handling the honors just as it did for Thor: The Dark World and The Amazing Spider-Man, aiming for an April release on iOS, Android and Windows devices.
Described as an “open-world brawler,” the game will feature not only Electro and Green Goblin like the movie it’s based on, but also villains from throughout Spidey’s storied comic book history. That’s a good thing, as often the most interesting part of tie-in games like this is seeing how they choose to reinterpret comic book characters for the movie universe.
No need to wait until next month, though, as you can see just a tad of what the game has up its sleeve in this announcement trailer:
