New Photos of Gotham’s Gordon and Cobblepot

Chris Begley of Batman-News.com is reporting the first photos taken on the set of Gotham of Ben McKenzie in his role as young Jim Gordon and Robin Lord Taylor as a young Oswald Cobblepot. Fox has started shooting Gotham and now we get our first peak at two of the actors in character. Click the link here to see the full galleries of photos posted on Batman-News. From the looks of the photos Ben is shooting a chase-scene on a rooftop, one in which he is forced to pull his gun. Robin Lord Taylor meanwhile is buying a newspaper and hailing a cab as Oswald Cobblepot.

I must say that Robin Lord Taylor looks good, if a bit too skinny and non-bird-like to be Penguin. I wonder if something is going to happen to change that at some point, or if he will simply be called the Penguin due to his tuxes and love of the birds. For now Ben McKenzie as Gordon just looks like Ben McKenzie playing a cop again, since young Gordon has neither a mustache nor glasses, and is not wearing a tan trench coat as is his habit when the character is older.
