The Boy Who Lived Wants to be the Boy Wonder
Greetings Caped Crusaders! In a recent Buzzfeed interview Daniel Radcliffe admitted that he would be willing to do another big movie franchise, in fact he apparently is interesting in being Ben Affleck’s Robin in The Batman, which Warner Bros. has said could be coming to us in 2019.
"“Batman,” he said during the BuzzFeed rapid-fire interview. “If they reboot that again, I’ll do that, too. It’s happening isn’t it? With Ben Affleck. I could be Robin. I’m perfect.”"

See the full interview on Buzzfeed.com. I actually think he could make it work. I’m sure many people will scoff at this but hear me out. Daniel is a decent actor, and we’ve seen how well it worked to have a British Jim Gordon and Batman. It kinda makes me sad that people are still mocking Ben Affleck and Buzzfeed takes the opportunity to poke fun at both Daniel and Ben. You can see the image Buzzfeed mocked up by following the link above.
Here’s how I see it, they are both serious actors with some great movies under their belts, and best of all they are fans. As fans they will put their passion for Batman into their acting, and that makes me excited. I think there is great potential for Ben Affleck and Daniel Radcliffe to be a great Batman and Robin, especially since Ben’s Batman is supposed to be a jaded older Batman whose been around for awhile, Daniel could be Dick Grayson in his late teens or early twenties.
Now obviously Daniel’s interest in the role is all we’ve got, no one from DC or Warner Bros. has expressed interest in casting Daniel, and he hasn’t had any contact with them as far as I know but it’s still fun to talk about. Who knows, maybe he’s a big enough star to garner serious attention about his interest in the role.
