Weta Digital to Make Effects For ‘Batman v Superman’
By Skip Harvey
Weta Digital is the special effects studio responsible for visual marvels like District 9, Avatar, and Rise of the Planet of the Apes. They also happened to work on Man of Steel, so it comes as no surprise that, when doing an interview with Collider recently, senior visual effects supervisor Joe Letteri and visual effects supervisor Dan Lemmon confirmed they’d be crafting visuals for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
"We are working on the Man of Steel sequel, yes… We can’t say much more than that, but we’re excited."
I know it’s not much to go on, but at least you can be rest assured that the likely effects-heavy film with be handled by serious professionals. Depending on who the villain is and how the action goes, it might be quite a sight to behold.
